The Great River Shakespeare Festival is a professional theatre company in Winona, MN. This year’s season includes the comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona, tragedy King Lear, and hilarious contemporary farce The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged.) The intern/apprentice production will be Shakespeare’s comedy All’s Well that Ends Well. Many free and low-cost Festival Events surround the performances, which take place at Winona State University Performing Arts Center. The Winona Park and Rec department is offering free rentals of kayaks, canoes, standing paddle boards, and bicycles at Lake Park Lodge, located at the end of Main Street on East Lake. Life jackets, paddles, and bike helmets are provided.

All participants must sign a waiver. Individuals under 18 must have a guardian sign their waiver, and all individuals under 16 must have a guardian sign their waiver as well as accompany them on the lake. Call the Park & Rec office for more information. 507-457-8258
