The Winona Park and Rec department is offering free snow shoe and ice skate rental at Lake Park Lodge, located at the end of Main Street on East Lake Blvd. The lodge staff also serves up hot beverages compliments of Winona’s Park and Rec Dept.

Majestic Tundra Swans are arriving daily in the Mississippi River bluffs region as they gather for their annual migration from northern Canada and Alaska to the Chesapeake Bay area. Large concentrations of birds begin gathering from Mid-October through the November freeze.
