MINIMUM AGE: The responsible party must be at least 25 years of age.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT: A $250 damage deposit is required at the time of booking. If no damages are incurred, the deposit will be automatically refunded using the original form of payment within 7 day of check-out.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Self check-in using a key pay is available any time after 3:00 p.m. on the day of your scheduled arrival. You will be provided with the keypad code via email prior to your stay. Check-out is at 11:00 A.M in order to give our housekeeping staff time to prepare for our next guests. Check-in/check-out times may be adjusted with advance notice, so just give us a call if you’d like to arrive early or stay later and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Failure to vacate the premises on time may result in a fine of $25.00/hour.
CANCELLATION: Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 7 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
PARKING: The streets in University Village are narrow. Out of consideration for our neighbors and for fire safety, all cars not parked in our lot must be parked on the same side of the street. Please ask your guests to comply with the yellow curb no-parking zones.
CAPACITY: The overnight maximum capacity is 8 adults.
EVENTS: The indoor capacity for special events is 45. Permission must be granted from the Village House Inn and from University Village Homeowner’s Association for special events and for tents erected on the premises. Please allow 3 weeks for board approval. Sorry, no weddings.
CLEAN-UP: Please leave all rooms in the same general condition in which you found them upon arrival. All food, beverages, and garbage must be bagged and disposed of in the grey trash barrel located outside on the patio. Place sheets and dirty towels in the laundry room.
DECORATIONS: Decorations may be put up on the day of the event and removed immediately following the event. Please do not use staples, nails, or tacks on doors, walls, posts, lights, fans, or ceilings. Glitter and open flames may not be used.
LIABILITY: The responsible party assumes liability and responsibility for the conduct of their guests and for any damages or losses that occur during the rental period. Activities and functions that may involve more than normal wear and tear on facilities are not permitted. The Village House Inn is not liable for any injuries occurring from any activities associated with the rental.
FOOD: City code prohibits cooking, grilling, frying, or barbecuing inside the Village House Inn, but you are welcome to prepare cold meals in our kitchenette or use the outdoor gas grill for cooking. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, and is fully stocked with dishware, glassware, and utensils. We would be happy to provide you with a list of our favorite restaurants and caterers.
MUSIC/PARTYING: We are located in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Out of consideration for our neighbors, loud partying is not permitted.
SMOKING/PETS: Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Sorry no pets. Evidence of pets or indoor smoking will result in the forfeiture of your $250 damage deposit.
